The CRWS Global Labour Reading Group

The Centre for Research on Work and Society (CRWS) at York University invites
advanced graduate students to take part in a reading group designed to share
and discuss their research related to work, labour market regulation, labour
organization and working class politics. Students addressing labour issues from
a variety of theoretical approaches, disciplinary perspectives, and geographical
contexts are encouraged to participate

The CRWS Global Labour Reading Group will provide an opportunity for graduate
students in the research and writing stages of their PhDs to receive
constructive peer feedback on early drafts of conference papers, dissertation
chapters and other writing projects, while fostering linkages that will
encourage interdisciplinary and collaborative research in the future. Works in
progress submitted by reading group participants will be circulated and read
ahead of monthly meetings held at the Centre.

They will be having a preliminary meeting on Wednesday October 5 at 4:30pm at the
CRWS, which is on the 6th floor of the York Research Tower

Contact David Lavin at lavind@yorku.ca to join the reading group or for more
information.
