About Left History (from the Left History website)
Established in 1993, Left History is a refereed bi-annual scholarly journal run out of York University. With an editorial board of prominent left historians, Left History features articles from a variety of theoretical approaches by both established and new scholars. Print issues of Left History regularly include feminist, marxist, and postmodernist deliberations on topics such as race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexuality, culture, the state, labour, the environment, theory, and method. Our online edition carries additional material including photography, interviews, fiction, film reviews, and personal narratives.
Left History is indexed in America History and Life, Historical Abstracts, Sociological Abstracts, and the Alternative Press Index. Full text editions of the journal are also available online thanks to the York University Library’s Open Journal Systems project.
Left History is printed by York University Publishing Services in Toronto, Ontario.
